A case for why Evil Dead is one of the best franchise

Evil Dead
I don’t like remakes of older IPs. In my uninformed opinion, if there isn’t an original story to tell then don’t. But there are exceptions.
The Evil Dead franchise holds a very near and dear place in my heart. Its sheer campy-ness makes it a horror fans delight. My dad and I have seen the original trilogy with Bruce Campbell - Army of Darkness has its flaws but I commend the chutzpah for taking that direction.
We both had our father-son fan boy hats on when the 2013 remake came out. And again when Rise was announced and once again with Burn. I have seen all the movies with him except Burn, although I am sure there will be rewatch booked for the future.

Coming to Evil Dead Burn, it was definitely the cruelest entry in the franchise. I always appreciate lore and the quick peek into the lore about the wise men and the <spoiler alert> weapon used to defeat the undead was nice addition. The familial setting and backdrop of grief makes this additionally cruel.
I am really looking forward to Evil Dead Wrath.
Also, why did they bring back the mother from Rise?
